Flower Delivery Volunteer

On the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month we are lucky enough to receive beautiful bouquets of flowers from our friends at The Petal Connection! We are looking for kind individuals who love people, flowers, and don’t mind driving to pick up these bouquets and deliver them to our patients.

Responsibilities may include:

• Picking up flowers
• Delivery to patients

Location:

Sacramento office, homes and care facilities in the Stockton or Sacramento area

Qualifications:

• Mature individual, supportive of the hospice concept, comfortable with his/her own belief system
• Compassionate attitude
• Comfortability working independently while also communicating with a team
• Willingness to work with patients and family regardless of gender, religion, race, sexual preference or economic status – respecting individual philosophy without imposing personal value system
• Able to respect patient confidentiality – demonstrate understanding of HIPPA
• Able to maintain appropriate and professional boundaries with patients
• Able to listen and practice patience
• Basic computer skills
• Must be minimum 18 years of age

Requirements:

• Complete application, criminal background check
• Complete and sign all applicable training material
• Sign and adhere to the confidentiality statement of Blossom Ridge Home Health & Hospice
• Complete medical checklist
• Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements
• Must be minimum 18 years of age
